Chickens

Through the investment of Jef Jel, the Ndangane community was able to construct a large building designed specifically to support the raising of broiler chickens in 2012.  These chickens are produced in lots of approximately 500.  Once they are fully grown (about 8 weeks), the chickens are prepared and sold to the local community and restaurants in the city of Kaolack.  Raising chickens creates job opportunities and a meaningful income stream for the villagers.
